  • Encourage the literacy, up gradation of education level of the society as whole by way of providing the Educational aid, Scholarship amounts (financial assistance) to the needy student for their education which may be from preliminary stage to Professional level also. Such as blind student, Night school education for poor students etc.
  • Provide Finance aid/ Scholarship facility for rewarding students with excellent academic track record and or obtaining Professional qualification in Commerce, Science, Arts or any academicals fields.

Eligibility to participate in Scheme: The following shall be the minimum eligible criteria for an applicant to participate in the Scheme. The Scholarship Committee reserves right to alter amends the same.

a. Educational Requirements:

The students/applicants pursuing the following will be eligible

Educational Requirements Maximum Amount of Scholarship eligible
Upto HSC (10+2) Standard level Rs.25000/- or the actual cost of fees and books whichever is less
Graduation (College Education) Actual cost of fees or Rs.35000/- whichever is less
Professional Courses(Commerce, Science, Arts or any academicals fields) Actual cost of fees or Rs.40000/- whichever is less. (to be disbursed in 2/3 yearly installments)

Number of students shall be decided by the Scholarship/Education Aid committee as authorized by the Executive committee of Jodhpur Association.

b. Minimum Marks:

The Student applying for scholarship above must have obtained a minimum of 70% marks in the final examinations of the last class passed by him with good character.

The candidate must be pursing his studies from a recognized Board like Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, C.B.S.E, I.C.S.E etc. or through a recognized institution run by the Central or State Government or an institution aided by Government (Central or State) /UGC. If the institutions does not fall under any of the above category then it should be affiliated to a recognized university/Board/Institution or the course should b recognized by the Government (Central or State) or any statutory authority.

c. Income of Parent/Guardian:

The Total Annual income of the applicants’ Parents/Guardian should not exceed Rs.500000/- (Rupees Five Lacs only) including student income also.

The Scheme shall be administered by the Scholarship Committee. The Committee shall have full authority in its discretion to determine the successful applicants to whom Scholarship amounts shall be granted. Subject to the provisions of the Scheme, the Committee shall have full and conclusive authority to interpret the Scheme; to prescribe, amend and rescind terms and conditions relating to the Scheme; to determine the eligibility criteria for the applicants and to make all other determinations necessary or advisable for the proper administration of the Scheme. The Committee's determination under the Scheme need not be uniform and may be made by it selectively among students who receive, or are eligible to receive, Scholarship amounts (whether or not such persons are similarly situated). The Committee’s decisions shall be final and binding on all the Eligible Applicant.

Forwarding of applications to other Institutions:

The Scholarship Committee reserves the right to forward such applications as received from eligible applicants which have been either rejected or which could not be granted scholarship due to non-availability of funds to other Institutions/Trusts/Associations recommending for grant of scholarship.

The Scholarship Committee shall create a Scholarship Corpus fund. The Association shall avail Scholarship amounts of Rs 500000/- p.a at least for TWO years from one or more contributors/sponsors which shall be credited to the scholarship corpus fund. The sponsor name shall be displayed where the aid will be given and or shall be announced in the Annual General meeting of the Jodhpur Association.

The sponsor shall be provided the Income tax relief certificate under Section 80 G of Income tax Act.

The income generated through Scholarship Corpus Fund will be utilized to distribute the scholarship/ Education aid every year.

  1. Each applicant shall submit a valid application in the prescribed format issued under the Scheme.
  2. All Scholarship payments in connection with the applications approved shall be made by way of Demand Draft/ Cheque /Pay-order in favour of the Student/Father/Mother or Guardian or in the name of Educational institution who has signed the application.
  3. All duly filled in applications and complete in all respects shall reach latest on or before the latest date specified on the application form. Applications received after the latest date i.e. is liable to be rejected.
  4. Each application shall be recommended by any one of the Scholarship committee members.
  5. Approval of an application shall be made by the said committee after considering number of factors like Total Income of Family, No. of persons in a family, Merits of the applicant and such other factors as the Scholarship committee may deem fit. The Decision of the said Committee shall be approved by at least 75% of Scholarship committee members shall be final and binding on all applicants. In case of fund is provided by single Sponsor then the disbursement will be approved by the particular donor/sponsor only under the banner of Jodhpur Association.
  6. Decision/s with respect to the approval or rejection of a particular application shall be communicated to the applicants within 30 days of the lodgement of application. No further correspondence with respect to those applications which have been rejected and communicated shall be undertaken.
  7. Candidates who have availed Scholarship/aid from any other institution/organization for the ensuing academic year may also apply for aid/scholarship of the Association. In case, if a student received aid/scholarship from any other organization after the association has granted the scholarship, he /she shall communicate the details of receipt of such scholarship to the Association.
  8. Incomplete and unclear applications are liable to be rejected without any further recourse.
  9. The applicants may collect the application forms from such places as may be determined.
  10. The Association and/or Scholarship Committee are not under any compulsion to disclose to the applicant about the reasons for rejection of any application.
  11. Each candidate who has been awarded scholarship for pursuing College Education and Professional Courses shall be required to submit an Undertaking stating that the amount of Scholarship shall be repaid as and when he / she starts to earn independent income from any employment / self-employment.

1 Rights to terminate Scheme.

The Association reserves the right to terminate the Scheme at any time during the subsistence of the Scheme. In case, where the Scheme is terminated after the commencement of Scheme, the Association shall intimate about the termination of the Scheme to the applicants whose applications have been received under the Scheme.

2 Scholarship non-transferable

No benefit under the Plan shall be transferable in favour of a third party.

3 Compliance.

The Applicant shall abide with the terms and conditions, rules and regulations of the Association..

4 Effective date of Plan

The Plan shall become effective on the date the Plan is signed on behalf of the Association by any one Member.
